We had so many great questions that we want to go into the answers in more depth.  So we are scheduling a follow-up Q&A webinar.

Perhaps you were on this live and would like more details?  Or you watched this replay and have questions that you can send to [email protected]

Either way, you are welcome to register and join us for more insight into Integrated Planning.

To register for the Q&A Webinar click here

The topics for discussion are based on the questions that we received on the webinar

                Topics for the Q&A include:

                • How to build scenarios to handle stock shortages and capacity constraints?
                • How to schedule for multiple resource constraints – labour and machines?
                • How do we handle custom products when every order is different and we don’t have a standard routing?
                • Make-to-Order production – How to do it in the Make-to-Stock IPS system?
                • How to handle spare parts and SKUs that are also sub-assembly items?

How to Integrate the Planning Process for a Manufacturing Business with Excel Spreadsheets
On this webinar,  we will show you a simple process for integrated planning.   A process that links demand all the way to execution in purchasing and production.  With each step, we will show examples of how it can be done using Excel.

                Background
Planning for a manufacturing business involves a lot of moving parts that all need to come together in service of the customer.  Often, these parts work separately in functions, systems or at different time-scales.  We have come up with a simple process to join it up and manage all the data using Excel spreadsheets.  The result can be fewer shortages and more available capacity, helping you to make better promises to the customer.

                Who This Is For
                • Size of Organisation – This Integrated Planning approach has been put to work in various manufacturing sites, ranging from 30 to over 10,000 people.
                • Industry – There is no industry-specific content and will be applicable to a wide range of products.  It is most suitable for discrete rather than continuous production.
                • Function – Anyone who is interested in planning.  Making decisions on what to buy, make and send.

                What You Will Learn
                • A clear picture of how to link forecasts, demand, inventory, purchasing and production management in a simple daily/weekly/monthly process.
                • How Excel can manage all this data and perform the calculations in the simplest way possible… but not any simpler!
                • A working Excel planning tool that manages a key step of the process and the knowledge of where and how it fits.
